Partnering with a diverse and extensive network of international expert reviewers, the editorial team of the Journal of Scientific Review ensures a rigorous, transparent, and constructive peer-review process. Each submission is evaluated with academic objectivity, scientific precision, and critical insight to enhance the quality and clarity of the research. The journal is committed to supporting authors throughout the entire publication journey, from submission to final decision, ensuring a fair and efficient review experience.
The Journal of Scientific Review adheres to strict ethical publishing standards and robust editorial policies, ensuring that all published research is original, scientifically sound, and of high academic integrity. These standards align with globally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing, promoting trust, transparency, and excellence in scientific communication.
Aims & Scope
Aims and Scope
The journal aims to advance the frontiers of knowledge in scientific and mathematical analysis by providing an international platform for the publication of high-quality, original research. It is committed to promoting rigorous theoretical developments, innovative methodologies, and meaningful interdisciplinary contributions that address complex problems across science and mathematics. The journal follows a gold open access model to ensure the wide dissemination and accessibility of research to the global academic community.
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, pure and applied mathematics, differential equations, dynamical systems, mathematical physics, computational and numerical analysis, and interdisciplinary applications in engineering, natural sciences, and emerging research areas. Both theoretical investigations and applied studies with strong analytical foundations are welcomed.
In addition, the journal encourages submissions that bridge multiple disciplines, introduce novel analytical techniques, or provide significant insights into real-world phenomena through mathematical modeling and scientific analysis.
Journal Policy
GIMS Statement
All submitted manuscripts must conform to GIMS’s policies as described. In all instances, GIMS closely follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) principles of publication ethics, which are laid out in its Core Practices documents. Their advice includes support on handling issues such as conflicts of interest, authorship and contributorship issues and disputes, misconduct allegations and data issues, overlap and plagiarism, and peer review integrity.
GIMS’s Editorial Boards are independent, and the publisher will not interfere with editorial decision-making. Where ethical or legal concerns are present, a decision may be changed, and the acceptance of a manuscript may be rescinded should an ethical issue or conflict with policies be identified. Manuscripts that do not conform to GIMS’s ethical policies may be withdrawn from submission by the publisher.
GIMS performs checks on all manuscripts to confirm that they conform with the Publication Ethics Guidelines. Some of the checks described are performed with the support of automatic checking services, facilitated by the journal’s Editorial Office. When potential issues are flagged, these are confirmed by a human decision-maker. Where a manuscript does not conform to policies or is flagged during a check, in many cases, an Academic Editor is consulted.
General Peer Review and the Editorial Procedure
All manuscripts published in our journals are strictly and thoroughly peer-reviewed by experts, including research and review articles, spontaneous submissions, and invited papers. The Managing Editor of the journal performs a technical pre-check of a manuscript’s suitability upon its receipt. The Academic Editor is notified of the submission and invited to perform an editorial pre-check. The Editorial Office then organizes the peer review process, performed by independent experts, and collects at least two review reports per manuscript. To uphold transparency and keep the authors informed about the progress of the peer review process, a preliminary version of the reviewers' reports is made accessible to them via this platform. Authors view the number of reviewer reports collected, as well as the content of the reviewer reports, once the peer-review process is completed. As these preliminary review reports are not checked by an Academic Editor, the authors are recommended to refrain from undertaking any revision until the full editorial assessment has been conducted and an official notification has been received by the Editorial Office. We ask our authors for adequate revision (with a second round of peer review if necessary) before a final decision is made. The final decision is made by the Academic Editor (usually the Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board Member of a journal or the Guest Editor of a Special Issue). Accepted articles undergo copy-editing and English editing.
Open Access & Funding
All article published by the journa of scientific review follow a gold open access publishing model, ensuring that all articles are freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication. This approach promotes the unrestricted dissemination of knowledge, allowing researchers, practitioners, and the general public to access, read, and cite published work without any subscription barriers.
At the present stage, GIMS journals do not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs) for submission, review, or publication of manuscripts. The publication process is fully supported by the institute as part of its commitment to advancing global research and encouraging scholarly contributions, particularly from early-career researchers and underrepresented regions.
The funding model is currently sustained through institutional support and academic collaboration, with a strong emphasis on maintaining high editorial standards, rigorous peer review, and ethical publishing practices. Any future changes in funding or APC policies will be clearly communicated to authors in advance, ensuring transparency and trust within the research community.
Funding of APCs and BPCs
Many funding agencies and institutions explicitly allow the use of research grants for the payment of APCs and BPCs for publishing open access articles and books. For more information on APC and BPC funding, please contect to Editorial team.
Discounts on APCs
Waivers may be granted at the Publisher's discretion and should be discussed with the Editorial Office when submitting an article. Editorial decision-making is decoupled from the authors' ability to pay the processing charges; however, authors should consider in advance whether they have sufficient funds to cover the full APC/BPC.
GIMS also offers discount vouchers to selected reviewers. Please note that reviewer vouchers can only be combined with IOAP and affiliated society discounts.
Authors affiliated with participating universities receive a discount on the APC for any paper published in an GIMS journal. Note that only one discount through an IOAP scheme is permitted per paper and that the discount can be combined with other available discounts (e.g., reviewer vouchers).
